Libyan Journal of Basic Sciences (LJBS) is a journal published by the Faculty of Science at Omar Al-Mukhtar University, El-Beida, Libya. LJBS publishes significant original scientific researches, plus reviews and analyses of current research in fields such as Mathematics, Computer science, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Microbiology and Marin Science. The Journal may also consider submission researches in fields, related to Science, such as Agriculture, Medicine, Pharmacy and Veterinary medicine, etc. We welcome submissions from all fields of science from any source from scientists and research scholars involved in various scientific fields from all over the world. Papers for publication in LJBS are selected through rigorous peer review to ensure originality, relevance, subject matter and readability. We are committed to the prompt evaluation and publication of submitted papers.

Journal’s Mission
LJBS seeks to publish those papers that are most influential in their fields or across fields and that will significantly advance scientific understanding. Selected papers should present novel and broadly important data, syntheses, or concepts. They should merit the recognition by the scientific community and general public provided by publication in LJBS. Only papers that have not been previously published can be accepted. Cover letters must state that the paper is new and original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Papers pending in other journals will not be considered. Co-authors should be individuals who have contributed substantially to the content of the paper.
LJBS treats all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. LJBS also instructs and expects our Board of Scientific Editors and reviewers to treat manuscripts as confidential material. Our peer review process is also confidential and identities of reviewers are not announced. Authors of papers that are not selected to published are notified within about 4 weeks. Research papers that are selected for possible publication are evaluated by at least two outside referees. Reviewers are contacted before being sent a paper and asked to return comments within 2 to 4 weeks for most papers.
